portraits I have done....

Hey everyone....I havent actually got to make a portrait for this challenge yet, but I thought I would share a couple that I have done. the first is a portrait of my husband and I...It is from a picture that we took of ourselves holding the camera out......I did the portrait piece seperate from the background, so it is 3d. the background is the Utah canyon.....

Husband has a cowboy hat on his head, just in case you were wondering.....

Then today I finished a pet quilt for a friend to give as a gift....
here is the quilt.....

I accidentally erased the picture it was based on, so I guess I cant show that....
The way I do quilts is working off a photo I cut out a rectangle of fabric, sketch out the photo with a pen and then thread paint all the details with the feed dogs of my machine down....I always use a paper melded to fabric background and then I add more fabric or fabric words at the end.........Melinda

I like how you made an art piece with the different mediums and quilting.
Very creative and unique.
