Happy to be here!

And so it begins . . .

I've been entrusted with the Mistress of Leehaven's
2008 collaborative star block project
by the Mistress herself.

I've decided to take each of the eighteen
3" siggie blocks and create
eighteen liberated 9-1/2" blocks
(the same size as the contributed star blocks).

It's been waaaaaay too long since I've
played with little bits of color
and I'm excited to return to one of
the reasons I started quilting in the first place.

Now there are framed siggie blocks
awaiting their borders
and
only a very few bits leftover
from the previously overflowing bin
of under 2" pieces.

I can't wait to play again soon!

Beautiful! I've never been a batik person, but you're beginning to convert me.

You smart cookie you. (I've got to get over to see what you've been up to!)

That's a great idea for a signature quilt. I really dig those batiks, too.

Great idea, I have some siggie blocks and still debating on what to do with them.
