Flowers... with a border

I spent a few days of play adding a border to my applique flowers & HST center. I tried to use up as much of the fabric I started with as possible ,and made a good dent!

I'm on the fence about adding more applique to the border. Part of me thinks that big blue expanse at the top needs a little something... like a flower placed off center... and part of me thinks it's all good. And part of me thinks I should do something totally different like add an embroidered dragonfly. What do you think?

it looks great the way it is, and the big blue part will show off the quilting texture.

I like the idea of a dragonfly--maybe an appliqued one.

It seems the big blue area could use a spot of applique or contrasting quilting with perle cotton. Bonnie

I agree with you. I think it needs *something* in that big blue expanse. That could be applique or it could just be a place to highlight special quilting. What do you most enjoy doing? Or what new technique do you want to try? This might be an opportunity to experiment!
