It's been fun
Another thought going on: this is for a favorite niece who will be wed next June. She loves bright, happy, fun things, but also love the cool blues and greens. I used mostly Kaffe/Westminster Rowan fabrics and Australian fabrics for the blocks. The groom loves the Beatles music, thus - "All You Need Is Love". I tried to tied it all together with those "comfy pajama" blues/ green blues,/white for the sashings and borders for a bit of structure as I am afraid that this may be a bit too unstructured for her taste. But then, I could always make another quilt with more subdued colors and perfectly (well almost) sized, matching blocks. Anyways - this is what I've got so far. And it has been so much fun. Oh, and, any suggestions are always welcome.

Your quilt is so gorgeous, the colors your picked are perfect. My son and his wife danced to "And I Love Her" at their wedding. They loved the Beatles too.
I love this quilt. It is so happy and quirky. What a wonderful gift!
It's wonderful!! Truly a "labor of love."
Gorgeous! My son and DIL also had Beatles music for their wedding... here is my suggestion: put the words facing the other way, so that when the quilt is on a bed, and the sides hang down, a person looking at the bed can read the words. Do you get what I mean? I made one with words oriented like you show here, and after it was done wished I had turned them the other way. Hope this is clear.
So much fun! it's such a great wedding gift... That is the only time I saw my mother make quilts... As wedding gifts otherwise she was to busy making out clothes...
What a beautiful gift...how could they not love it?!
what fun! i agree with Carol about the words positioning.
I hope you find just the right fabric for your border. What a wonderful wedding gift this will be!
I think its fabulous! Maybe a more blue border/ background would really make the colors pop? Something in the robin's egg/ tiffany blue range? It will be a treasured gift for sure!
