More Decisions & Progress

Trying to come up with an idea to complement my setting blocks ...

Really liked this block & thought it would make a good-looking border.
But then this project would never get finished ... too labor intensive.

Maybe it will work as a single setting block?

Decided it wasn't working & substituted a solid.

This is what I've decided upon for the border ...
still need to figure out the corners ...
maybe I can use my funky block somehow?

I like your funky block, and it would make an awesome border, but it is awfully ambitious. the small square chain border looks great too. i would put a corner block that was only white with the black line, bent to make a corner.

Love this quilt, along with the border you chose. It sure would be fun to see more of those black and white pick-up sticks someday.

Love the quilt, and your funky blocks...could you bear to do two or three part rows with funky blocks between the squares? How would the corners look with a crazy square, a bit larger than the others in the border?

Margaret I LOVE it in the border!!!! I can see how it would take a while to do it but it is wonderful!

but you won't give up on those b/w border blocks, will you? how about just one border with what you've done and the other three with the crazy patches.

I love the look of the scattered black pieces!!!! But I can see it being a lot of work for a border. This is just a very cool quilt.

Well, I love the idea for setting your blocks. Maybe the border could just be on opposite sides? Not so labor intensive.

Hey Margaret, I love the pick up sticks border - labor intensive but
quite striking. If you go the other route, maybe a solid for the
corner??? Really looks great!

I like your solution to the border problem. I would use another scrappy block in the corners.
This is going to be one cool quilt!

I'm with Kathy - the funky block for the border would be truly outstanding! Fabulous, whatever you choose!
