There is Safety in Scraps, there is safety in scraps...

Does anyone remember the movie "The Kid?" One of our favorites, about a successful business man who has a midlife crisis when his inner child shows up - in person. At one point our hero, played by Bruce Willis, is repeating the mantra, "There is safety in ..." Well, I can't remember exactly what word finishes the quote but for me it was scraps.

I unearthed some happy scraps when I was packing my envelope for my swap partner. I was just selfish enough to keep them too. ;- )

Trust me, it was in everyone's best interest. Heads may have rolled yesterday had I not been chained to (chain piecing at) the sewing machine!

I don't have what I consider finished blocks yet. Two of the starts wouldn't settle for being mere 6" blocks. They have to be built up to at least 8". Most of the others will be content to remain at 6" I think.

The best part is that I feel so much better today. I may even cut into virgin yardage at some point!
