it's growing...

It's growing!
I am loving it!

I take my bits of scraps.
Sew them in a trip. When it is long enough, I start another one.
With no particular width or length in mind.. I just want them looking like strips..
With lots of scraps.. true scraps..
So, I try to piece one scrap at a time.. If the scrap is in triangle shape, I find another triangle piece to make a small square  and use that in my strip. For added interest.. little skinny pick up sticks are tossed all over!
Almost every scrap I get my hands on, goes in it.. as long as it fits in my head!

For those of you who are working on my block, please don't over think.

I have a feeling..
It is going to be a great quilt.

Here is what I started today.

Still working with scraps.
No yardage is being cut these days. Nothing larger than four to five inches of fabric is being used.
Feeling them with my hands, cutting them with my scissors and of course...
No end result in mind!

 Another slow quilt!

Gonna be a wonderful "slow" quilt. One question. When sewing all the long strips together, how do you manage the bulkiness of several seams that might want to clump together. Do you press the seams open or just steam it to one side or the other?

Mary,
I did not pay any attention to the seams. Let them be.. I don't think it is going to matter.
