What fun it was to open the site this morning and see all the great new work!
You newbies are rocking it out!
I did a little happy dance seeing you all PLAYING!
I wanted to share a little more process with you,
when you first starting making 15 minute blocks...
TRY to just MAKE and not think ahead...
Don't worry about what you will do with them,
First you need to just make fabric.
Then will come the time to think about how you will move forward with them.
Sometimes we get BLOCKED mentally when we try to
design a whole quilt in our heads,
So let's break it down, and think one step at a time...
For instance, here is a little bit about one of my quilts I did last summer...
when I started these blocks I made enough FABRIC.
then decided I wanted to make the SCRAP STARS,
once I had the stars, I thought, now what?
I knew I loved the stars, but a whole quilt like this was to easy...
I thought the blocks had a lot of potential and knew I needed to put more into the layout...
So I auditioned many possibilities...
I played some more with them, before I decided that I wanted
BIG MADE FABRIC FILLER BLOCKS to go in between...
I did that, and it still felt stagnant to me...
what else I could do to make this quilt sing...
I tried feathering all the blocks but that was WAY TO MUCH....
Then tried half squares around them. Yes, that works for me!
A little more play with extra fabric blocks, in the borders maybe?
nope. to much...
For me, keeping the borders simple on this was enough,
but I needed to incorporate different tones
of yellow to keep this quilt dancing...
or wait, perhaps that was me dancing... ;-)
I love it when it all comes together...
Keep exploring, Keep playing.
Keep having fun!
NOTE: Please start posting more of your intuition quilts.
With the exception of Janet and Sue, who asked to do in pairs,
everyone else is on their own.
I am loving hearing how you all work!
Good stuff, people!!
If anyone else wants to pair up, just send me another email saying so...

Very fun! What are great way to add the HST to the outside edges.

As I've said before.... you make this look so easy, and you are so good at it.
Wow that's for the process.
Glad to see Miss Jenny giving us a sense of scale here :-D
This looks like loads of fun!
This inspires me!
