play zone

CAUTION: PLAY ZONE

I had some made fabric strips hanging here for ages in my studio.
Today I thought I'd play with them a bit, based on the play I did the other day....

My daughter, who is still home from school, decided right off the bat,
that she likes the First picture top right, but add the dots...
It was so very obvious to her!

hahaha!

Although I think I agree with her,
I am feeling these might get sewn together and cut apart, one more time...

I find PINK the hardest color to work with...
I have a big aversion to it.... it just all looks to sweet....to me.

More play needs to happen to get that GUT feeling...

So friends,
Whats your gut feeling
telling you today?

DO you listen to it?
Do you ignore it?

Any of these strike your fancy?

My gut agrees with B! I know what you mean about pink, I'm just making a pink/blue quit for a friend (her colours). Now...orange could rescue this quilt, it could look great, but she said NO orange...so... just plod on with it!

I love the sense of floating depth in the middle one of the second row (the stair step one).
Yes, pink has a bad reputation to overcome. There's the challenge!

I like the vertical bars in the 2nd row, far right. Never made a bar quilt, so I think I need to try one. I like the different colored rectangles in yours. As for pink, I have used Robyn Pandolph flowery prints in faded pinks and greens....very Victorian.

How fun! I couldn't begin to select a favorite. Pink is not my favorite, but my granddaughter told me she wanted a pink quilt. I am working my way up to it.

Fun fun fun! Love that B had an obvious design pick! Keep going with the pinks! They are so pretty- I know you will do something fantastic with them!

I agree with your daughter...definietly with the dots! I think the red (or dark pink?) helps to make the quilt less sweet. Can't wait to see what it turns out as :)
