Spilling My Guts

More progress on my Guts Quilt (aka my Intuition Quilt) . . .

I got those little circles all appliqued down, and added them, and as usual, I put it up on the wall, and saw DULL!!
I'm trying to make this quilt all out of one bag of scraps, and in that bag, there are just not too many brights for some reason. I'm probably going to have to branch out and grab another bag.

In my efforts to brighten it up, I decided to add this red border. It doesn't even do as much as I'd intended, but I'm planning to make this quilt bigger yet, so I've still got time to pull the fat out of the fire . . .

Very Interesting. You could just start cutting it up an putting those vibrant neon strips in there, LOL!

It actually looks homey, I kinda like this bent you have here.

I really like the circles and center. I'm eager to see how you progress.

Shelly! this is great! the circles take this to a whole other level... from just a scrap quilt into a work of art with depth... the movement and layers are very interesting! I love the dark border how it frames it... will it grow?
it's the brights...(I'm still looking at it and trying to figure it out...) the pinks and yellows and turquoise... they are taking it from the 80's(burgundy and green) to the future... I want to see more! :-)

I am sorry you see this as dull. I think it is stunning. I would be proud to have created this. The colors really work for me.

I love those circles with the irregular shapes. I also like how the few spots of white pop out. You might try adding more lights here and there. I found I've had to do that with my scrap quilts to break up the density of color.

I think that the movement you created using circles with 2 fabrics around that fabulous center block is great!
