Bee blocks for Charlotte and the beginnings of AAQI quilt

I'm a terrible procrastinator, so yesterday I decided to just do it and dived into a box of birthday scraps from Victoria to make two blocks for Charlotte. Lots of little pieces here. I went with two colourways-- peachy and yellow-green.

While I was playing with these little scraps, I found dozens of triangles cut from 1.5 inch squares, so I made lots of HST and put together the center of a quilt for AAQI. The finished blocks measure half an inch, so the centre is small. I'm thinking I'm going to rip out the dark green inner border and make it narrower. I deliberately made it wonky since precision in this case was impossible. It was hard enough to sew those little triangles, although my Juki handled it without complaint.

These look great! FWIW, I like the dark green border the way it is.

HAHAHAH! All those little half squares!! those were mine too! You so genius! So glad they are going to good use.. It's freaky seeing all your fabric scraps, which are mine, in those blocks! hahaha! I love that you enjoy playing in them! Boy they look good!

I did throw some of them out, and then I fished them out of the garbage when I started this project. the seam allowances are crazy on the back. btw, you have great fabric scraps. thanks again.

I like everything here. I am in the pink/green mode this week.

I wouldn't bother changing that green. I think it's cool just the way it is!

I would leave the dark green the way it is. It is a great block. Thank you for playing.

Brenda, the blocks are perfect, thank you! And the green is beautiful as it is...would you like it with pink binding, perhaps?
