Beacon lights and courthouse steps

I had some time yesterday to finish making enough fabric to catch up on the BOMs.  I am not totally pleased with the way my beacon lights turned out.  I lost corners in far to many places, but I do like the way the fabrics worked together.  I am using different yellows/oranges/golds for background fabrics for each of the blocks.  I hope that will make for an interesting quilt when all is said and done.

For the courthouse steps, I did the reverse and used my made fabric the center.  This one was fun to make, as well.  I have always liked this block pattern.

I am really enjoying our BOM challenge.  I love the look of the traditional blocks with made fabric.  I just hope I don't run out of scraps in my favorite colors before we are finished.

I'm glad to see the made fabric and background fabrics reversed. Variety is the spice of life : )
