BACK TO SEWING - MY FIRST B.O.M.

Hello everybody. I've not done any sewing for over six weeks - for happy reasons - welcome visitors, holidays, getting a flower and vegetable garden under control (it's not) and normally I wouldn't have missed it, but since I've been a 15 minute player I'm hooked. So on Monday, despite a pile of ironing the size of a two storey house and a million vegetables screaming their heads off to get into the freezer, I decided Monday would be a day of sewing and nothing else. Julie's B.O.M. looked as if it would be good fun to make and would get me started again.

This is only my second proper block ever (the first was Victoria's signature block). I've now got huge respect for all of you who make block quilts. I can't imagine making more the same and actually getting them all the same size. Maybe that's one of my next challenges? Making this one took six hours.

Thanks Julie - I very much enjoyed making it, and learned a lot.
