Inspiration


I may be a little late on this post, but I just returned from 9 days in the Eastern Sierras - fishing, cross stitching, reading - no electricity, so no quilting. But I want to share these pics. They are of two paintings in the apartment of a friend.  The top one was an original. The bottom one was commissioned by his parents. They asked the artist who did the top one to make a similar one of his grandparent's ranch in the California Central Valley.  I would love to make a quilt in this style.

a very mod quilt this would be! go for it! would you make fabric by color? that red and green look so good together! nice tones!
