I, too, grew up with a kitchen full of avocado appliances.
Remember this combo? Avocado, gold yellow and orange.
My family's kitchen also had groovy mod floral wallpaper in these colors.
Gosh I wish I had a picture of all that 60's goodness!
I decided to go alittle more vibrant on the orange and gold, and I added some
purple and lime green. I am definitely a tertiary color girl!
I do have fond memories of the avocado kitchen growing up.
The family dinners, homework at the table, art projects,
you name it, the kitchen was the hub of activity.
I am finding with this color challenge that I have really opened my mind
to what "goes together."
It seems that window is smaller and smaller and I am open
to any color combinations.
So here is my avocado block.
Can't wait to see what's next!!

I love that you have fond memories of this color! Your palette really reads 60's! :-) wait til
Later when i post our kitchen when I was young.. Hehe... More good colors to come! Glad to hear you've opened up to your color choices!
Tertiary is my new favorite palette....purple, green, & orange....a bit more daring than primary! I need to shop for more orange!
I like it!
