Mauve Introduced Into Ongoing Project

I got smart and decided to do something that counted toward a project I have sporadically worked on for about 4 years now.  They are 6.5 inch scrap churn dash blocks. I take the box out when I have nothing to do, or too much to do, and work on a couple.  Then I put it away again.  Some people can't understand this peculiar habit, but it is like a calming session in a hectic life.  I need it.

Today I thought how I don't really have a lot of mauve in my stash.  It seems that I have a very large amount of fabric, just not ever the one I need for a particular project.  Hence, I have no mauve.

This is the closest I could come to mauve.  Close, but not spot on.

And here are my 4 new churn dashes to add to my growing stack of them.

I'd say that counts close to mauve! it's an odd color! odd... I love odd color! I also love your churn dashes... A great way to bring your project back into the light! ;-)

Ongoing projects are the best! Your version of mauve fits into the range. I love that everyone is joining in this challenge....so many shades, so many ideas!

You are not alone! I have a black bag with two ongoing projects. Periodically when I don't want a BIG project or the big project is not going well I haul out the black bag and sew a couple of blocks. SOMEDAY they will become a quilt!
