I couldn't believe that I would have the Ochre challenge done within a day ~ I never meet a challenge that fast...and truly, I thought ochre was a different color (tho I can't tell you what) and I'm not even sure I really found ochre...but here is mine with it's friends
And then of course, we make the fabric...
- this is a great experience, I'm LEARNING where NOT to put teeny tiny strips and WHAT to watch out for when I cut the next part ...because...well let's just say, when I finished, I had a few 'land mines' (multi seams meeting together and having a party)...but they are gone now - I love my 'hammer'....
As I was taking the picture...I had one of those moments..."well fricassee....bless my heart - I done screwed up!" You can see it, can't you? You can LOL - I am.
So my question Miss Queen of Color...do we get 'do overs'?

You just invented a new block -lol.
I really like those blues with the ochre. I have been having a hard time trying to pick a fabric to set my blocks in. I am going back to play and see how mine look on black and white.
Haha! I did the same thing, I'm gonna go with it.
Love your block.
Thanks Maree & Lisa - I looked at the block for the rest of the afternoon - got 'this' close to taking it apart - decided...nope, it's my "humble pie block" (let's hope there's not more to go with it in the future! LOL). I'm going to use a different b/w background for each block...I think...at least it's looking like that so far. :)
First I adore your ocher fabric with the swirls! And I like your setting the blocks on black & white. And I'd leave the block just the way it is! Life is too short!
Thanks Jane - You are SO right - Life IS too short -I'm leaving it just as it is :)
I like the idea of a hammer, good tip for those bad seams.
Oops. LOL! but I still love the block.
