Orange for AAQI

I love orange!  I had planned on using some fabric that I purchased during my trip to Virginia as the basis for my orange project, but when I got into my studio this morning, I found some leftover squares from a charm pack that were perfect.  I knew I liked olive with orange, but I didn't know about turquoise/aqua.  Sometimes, I do learn something from fabric designers.  After I put the fabric together, I decided to use a piece of orange batik as a flange bordered by some Kona solid.  This is a true rendition of how I felt today in the rare, but beautiful Pacific Northwest sunshine.
Do I like orange?  I love it.
Does it play nicely with other colors?  So far, it has worked nicely with all the colors I have put near it.  I usually don't like it with black, but this little bit worked well for me.
Would I use it again?  Every chance I get.
This little piece will get quilted and sent to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative.

GORGEOUS, Miki! That is a color combo I would never in a million years have thought of, but it is very striking. And AAQI to boot! Congrats on one Fabulous block.

Olive and orange are lovely together and I like the patterns your fabrics make. Great little quilt for AAQI. Super double border too, borders can be difficult.
