And Then There Were 14- Maroon and Aqua Added

I got  2 maroon blocks done and was happy to see that they are distinctly different from the rust and the mauve blocks. I was worried for a while and some of the early maroon fabrics were moved to the mauve pile. Looks really dark when put with all the other blocks.

I had the same problem with the aqua fabrics. They were very close to the mint green. But looks like they turned out OK.

Here is the collection using filler strips the same color as one of the adjacent blocks. I think I like this better than just random filler strips.  But now that they are side by side maybe I like the random filler strips. Decisions to be made!

What color will Victoria come up with next? In a way I'm almost glad this will be over soon. My design wall is only about 4 x 6 foot and I'm running out of room.

Your maroon turned out really great - I love all of your blocks with their colorful filler strips.

The random stripe appeal to me. A bit more movement.

I like the adjacent color stripes best.

VERY pretty, Irene! Love your blocks and this maroon with aqua is stunning. Personally, I like the random applied color fillers. In the end, it will be what makes your heart happy which will prevail. I'm sure a little "play" time will guide you in the right direction.

I love your blocks and really really love your maroon! I think the random colors joining the blocks are the best.
