Aqua and Maroon Challenges

Aqua challenge - LOVE this block! I've always loved this color, and this daisy fabric is just too cute!
Maroon challenge - this was tough, as I owned just one maroon fabric, the batik with pink and lavender. Not a fan of maroon - reminds me of my school colors, maroon and gold...loved the school, not the colors!
I have been loving this challenge - I usually pull LOTS of fabrics, starting with lots of "matchers", but usually editing the mix down to only about 6 or 7 fabrics. I like the overall look of my Minnesota Maroon block!

LOVE the aqua block, Chris!!! Great addition of the lime green. Very springy with the daisy fabric and dragonfly batik. Nice fussy cut center too! :)

I like the maroon with the pinkish pops of color.

Can't wait to see all your blocks together!!

Go MN GOPHERS! hehe, it looks great Chris! I think it's really interesting just how different your tow blocks look from each other just by playing with color! I feel the same way about purple and gold...my school colors! LOL! Did you see the colors of my book cover? purple and yellow! Go figure! hahaha!

I love how soft your aqua block is! And I agree with you on the school colors thing--those weren't even my colors, but I struggled with the same thing when working on my maroon block anyway.
