Aqua and Maroon

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me, but I'm glad to have caught
up with my blocks before the next crazy color gets reveled!

I though I had taken a picture of my aqua palette, but I can't find it.
I used aqua, red, purple and brown.
It's okay.  Aqua.  Not alot in my stash, but this one is the closest I had.

On to Maroon!
Now this I knew I had none of.
But . . . . I remembered that my friend Helen sent me some of her
scraps last fall, so I went on a hunt through my scrap bin.
I love to hunt through the bin!
And there is was . . . the perfect Maroon!

I paired it with gold, forest green and a leafy print.
Maroon has always reminded me of fall.
Maroon and Gold were my school colors in Middle School,
and I think that's why I think of them together at fall football games.

I feel like color can be so nostalgic.
It reminds us of events and people.
Just like the smells of our mother's cooking and baking.

So here they are, Aqua and Maroon.

And all my blocks so far, they are dancing off my very limited design wall!

I have started to play around with how I'm going to set them,
but I think that will be a surprise!
Sew on!

Your dancing stars just make me smile. I like the idea of the yoga quilt. I also think you owe yourself a bigger design wall. Just think of the possibilities. :D
