Citrusy Lime Green

From a light Key Lime pie filling to the darker green of the fruit, I love this color because it's bright and refreshing.   Aside from the green batik I've been using in some of my blocks, I didn't have any lime green in my stash.  Another reason to visit my favorite quilt shop and the "quiltie ladies" to see what's new and exciting in the shop while I pick up an eighth of the week's color.

I'm finding that I'm not auditioning my fabric selection as much as I did when we first started the color challenge.  I'm being more spontaneous just putting bits and piece together and having fun in the process.  The focus is really the raspberry circles and dots fabric shouting out next to the lime green and a little splash of yellow, turquoise and blue here and there to add interest.

I'm looking forward to the 16th color of Victoria's choice and I like the idea of adding more colors of our own choice to the top.  Then again, I may just go with the 16 colors of the challenge and make a whole 'nother top of wonky blocks.  So many decisions, so many more tops to create.

The DOTS in the pink make this block so UNIQUE! Love that when that happens! Green LIME fabric too!
