ANYTHING, on my Juki. I can happily say that I did just that.. One quick block using made fabric for the points... YAY!
I also Picked up a few LIGHT-ISH fat quarters to add to my stash pile for the fall LIGHT quilt-along....
I know I am no the only one who does not have a lot of WHITE fabrics, But please know that that...
LIGHT DOES NOT HAVE TO MEAN WHITE.
Light can be anything that reads as white when it's near other fabrics.
Light yellow, light pink, light blue... etc... Leaving those pieces that have COLOR infused with "white-ish" fabrics will make those other soft colors your darks! A whole new perspective on colors!
Just in this pile above, many fabrics with whites, or LIGHTS, (creams fit that category as well) then the other colors that pop here are the YELLOW, and PINK and even GREY and AQUA!
I plan this week to sort through my bins just grabbing RANDOMLY prints (Don't think to hard on this part) I think will READ as a LIGHT fabric... I think we will be surprised by all the different TONES you will see when we sew these all together....
Are you collecting your scraps yet? Show us what your gathering, so we can peak!
And if anyone has an enormous stash of scraps and is willing to do some scrap trading, email me, we can arrange for a swap to gather more light-ish fabrics... we have time to do that!

Count me in for the Fall Light Quilt-Along. Like you I will need to add to my stash. Perhaps a visit to one of the near-by shops with a big scrap bin. I can fill a paper lunch sack for a few dollars.
Cheers, Beth
I have been putting light scraps aside, but I have to confess, I did buy some random fat quarters that I thought might work well....
I have a lot going on in the next 2 months - so I don't know if I will join right away, but I will be watching!
Have lots of lights to swap. And I want to quilt-along!
Thanks for the heads up. I've been using the stronger colors in my stash and scraps lately. But once alerted I began to recognise lots of lights from a previous quilting life.
I'll quilt along.
