Life's Little Detours

Hello to my playmates...I so miss you all! I sew wanted to play with whites and lights...didn't happen. It's been a whirlwind the last couple of months...our busiest time with last months big quilt show here in the Jacksonville area. We survived...barely. And with less than two weeks between that and our little yearly 'vacay'...I knew I'd be hard pressed to get any sewing in...but surely I would find time for a block or two. Didn't happen...the blocks OR the 'vacay'. :(

My Oh So Sweet 93yr old Mom was sent to the ER from her assisted living facility here in town just a few days after the show....as I write...I'm counting down the hours til my DH and I get to finally "spring her" - noonish on Sunday...that's the plan. She will have been there 11 days (in the hospital that is, not the ER..lol). But I thank my lucky star blocks...that I still have my Mom...that in all her 93years...this is the first time she's had such an extended visit in Hotel D'Hospital.

She's kept up her spirits...which is more than I can say for myself...but I'm doing the dance of joy...just thinking soon she will be back in her own little bed...in her own little room surrounded by her little quilts on the wall...and  her wonderful caregivers...I am blessed.

So this little detour has a happy ending...and I will be back soon!
Lynn :)

Oh I'm sorry she was in the hospital, but 93, and her first time in? Go Mom!! What a strong sounding woman!
