Sophie's Quilting

Quilting on the Singer 301For this challenge, in addition to Victoria's guidelines, I challenged myself to use only fabric and thread from my stash and to quilt it on my 50-year old Singer 301.

National/International/Worldwide Quilting day is the perfect day for me to start quilting.

After giving the machine some TLC (cleaning out the lint and dust and oiling it), auditioning then testing some threads, I started quilting the center–and quilting around the design elements in the tea towel.  I think I could spend a good part of the day outlining those many, many little leaves ...
