Happiness is Playtime!

I am so delighted with my scraps from Lisa!  So many new fabrics but also some I already have, love dearly, and can never get too much of!  The top picture is some of the strips that I sewed together; the bottom picture is the new energized form of the same strips after I slashed and reassembled them.  I feel like the block may be a medallion for a quilt someday.  In the meantime I love to look at it and will just enjoy seeing it daily.  Thanks Lisa and thanks Victoria!!!

I love your new block. Can you share how you cut the original so it all fit back together so well?

Gorgeous colors, lovely made-fabric. Look forward to seeing how this develops.

To answer Irene's question, I made a couple of cuts parallel to the sides, reassembled, cut a diagonal wedge, reassembled, made two more parallel to the sides cuts and reassembled again.

Thanks Willa. I have been going crazy trying to deconstruct this block. I need to try this ASAP.

Willa, you are a master at constructing beautiful blocks from made fabric, it's a great result.

Beautiful! I sometimes forget how cool it looks when one slashes. Gotta remember to do that, too.

I loved the first block until I saw the slashed and restitched block, which is even neater!
