Added the last border to my mini. It now includes all my favorite colors:
This is decorating my design wall while I ponder how to quilt it. Would like to do something simple by hand (maybe after a few strategic in-the-ditch lines by machine). No quilting plan yet... your suggestions welcome!
Love your rich colours and design. How about a cable for the outer border? Google "cable quilting" images and there are a few simple designs that would look great. Then, maybe circles in the sq-in-sq blocks? Hope that gives you food for thought :)
Your Amish Bars are so exciting that the quilting design need not be complicated. A cable or even straight lines would be enough. I love those little pops of pink in the inner border!
Thanks for the quilting suggestions! The only hand quilting I've done is echo-lines on Hawaiian applique, so my brain needs to go in a new direction for this one. There's enough room for a narrow cable on that outer border, and little circles in the on-point squares will be charming.
the amish ones I saw had very simple and also complicated feathers on the mini scale! ;-) I have not a clue how I will quilt mine either, I stitched it all in the ditch , and am now contemplating my next move.

Your crumb bars are delicious (sorry, I couldn't resist) ;)
