Jean's Star & Geese quilt

Jean took my class in Minnesota, and I was fawning over all her great african themed fabrics... She whipped this quilt together quickly for her daughter! Isn't it so fun? I love the monkey's faces peeking out in the star!

I like the soft, comfy look of these browns. The large flying geese show the lovely fabrics.
Cheers and Happy New Year to all.

What a unique Lemoyne Star! Nice value contrast in this nearly monochromatic color palette. Great quilt!

Please tell me how you figured out what size of diamond to make ie: how did you actually make it. I've made 8 peices for a lone star but we can't figure out how to make a diamond that will work out. Thank you very much
