I've been waiting for an idea to come along where I could incorporate these Kaffe scraps, and this seemed like the perfect project to use them! (I tend to hoard my Kaffe for some reason.) I was in a sweet mood while making this yesterday, so this is my CARAMEL block.
Thanks for the tutorial Miki, and the well thought out extra tidbits of information!
P.S. I didn't realize that I had the outer blocks reversed. Geez. Victoria certainly has a good eye. I have taken the ripper to this block so many times already, that I don't know if I will flip those outer blocks, or just leave as is. (Yes, the wine was good!)
Wow! These colors are fantastic. Great block.
I like how you reversed the outer blocks... gives it a whole new look! the colors are scrumptious!
i like it, looks like a good re-interpretation. i have been prevaricating about starting mine and you have made me realise it doesn't matter if it is slightly different as it will look good whatever.
It sure gives the block a different look - I like it!
I thought you had done that on porpoise!!
It woul look stunning like that in a quilt with 35 more !!!
Make more the way they are!! Don't change it!! It's an aha!!! A happy accident!!!
Yes, I am wondering what kind of secondary design will appear with your happy accident??? I also would like to know what wine goes well with quilting??? ;-))
Love the block that way! I find a white wine is better for sewing, just incase you drip. ;)
