Dad's Shirt

I love the cheerful colors in my stepdad's Hawaiian shirt. His nickname was "Sunny" because he always lit up a room. I want to use it in a quilt to cheer someone else. Any ideas on how to start?

Fussy cuts? Flower stars? Big Hawaiian Lemoyne bordered with made fabric? Fabulous inspiration!

Anything will be fabulous! Do you have any of your mother's clothes? Some pink gingham would be fun.

Actually Mother had a matching Hawaiian shirt, but no pink gingham, I think I may have some in my 30-year-old stash, tho. Fussy cut flower stars sound very festive, too. This is going to be a fun week!
