There is really no advantage to having to get up at 4:30 in
the morning so that you can be at work at 6am unless someone posts a challenge
that you like. Then you can be the second person to frantically wave your hand
and say pick me please! I loved the idea of roses- I have over 20 different
rose bushes in my garden but I digress.
I received my fabric and first thought of using the mono print fabric I
made in a class with Sue Dennis. Though I liked the idea, I didn’t think I had
enough contrast.
I found my next idea looking at the pile of scraps left over
from making my dragon quilt background. I had lots of pieces. I felt they
went well with the rose fabric.
Finally had to pick out what to do. I had narrowed it down
to 2 projects: a tote bag or a padded iPad cover. Since I could not decide, I
asked my husband to decide and he went with the iPad cover. Nice, because it is
a smaller project and I could get it done quickly. Well, I didn’t know I would
have to contend with being sick, a sick coworker, and totally forgetting about
the Holidays, so I am still working on it. Maybe more to share soon.
