pink heart

I spent a very happy 3 hours yesterday playing in my red and pink scraps and created this little piece for the challenge.
I'm usually very controlled when it comes to piecing, but this time I really embraced the 'play' aspect and because none of it was precious fabric I had a blast just cutting and stitching and if a bit was too short, just stitching another bit on until it was big enough.  I might leave it as it is and make a mugrug, or add a border of half-square triangles and 'play' some more.  My mood next time I can play will determine how it progresses. - Helen in the UK

Sweet! I am having trouble piecing these hearts, they are coming out all different sizes and shapes, even though I'm trying to make them the same. I guess I just have to go for it and play. This one is especially nice, knowing that you just let go and let it happen.

Love your scrappy heart shape framed by all those soft pink scraps!
