Compartments of the Heart

Here is my mini heart quilt~

This was a fun quilt to make.  The curves proved to be a bit of a challenge
especially since I was determined to keep each orange section as one piece.  The sections were a bit wrinkly when the block was finished (more than I am comfortable with), but thanks to the iron and many quilting lines this was dealt with!

Sun & Sea for Me, Yeah!

I almost squealed with delight when I opened my envelope and saw Em's Sun & Sea 12x12. The colors are lovely - I am a big blue and yellow fan! I love your pieced sun and the quilting is fabulous. When I was worrying about what to do for my 12x12, my friend Margaret suggested a landscape with wavy lines. She must have known this quilt was in my future.
Thanks Em, I will treasure it always!

Polka Dots, Checks & Stripes

For V's dots, checks and stripes challenge -
I just love this subtle giant dot fabric.

Sort of wave runner-esque.

This was completely accidental having to do with being half asleep, cat water bowl, 1 cold foot, and a scooped up sock from the laundry basket. Guess I have these blocks on the brain!
