What if...you made fabric to fill in?What if you made a medallion style and filled out around it....What if you used these for borders?what it you grouped them into a unique giant 9 patch? What if you sew a bunch together and cut them again? what if you....Listen to your instinct... stare at it for a few days and let it tell you... follow your gut!process your ideas, think of as many things as you can before you make a decision to make the "same old quilt"...How can you make a quilt that is truly unique to you?
Ditto what V says. And I would start by trying to find sections or rows that you can sew together, perhaps with some fill-in blocks or fabric. I love these type of quilts. You're inspiring me to get my orphan blocks out!
Thank you Victoria and Nifty Quilts. Victoria, you are always thinking. You are the BEST. I am going to get out of this rut. Ya'll are so helpful. Now, off to play
What wonderful ideas. I need to be reminded to ask myself what if more often. You have the beginnings of a really fun project here.
I hope to take Friday as a 15 minute play day. Wish me luck.
